Liquor Compliance Disclosure & Policy

This policy outlines the alcohol compliance policies for any class that may include an optional alcoholic beverage component. These policies are designed to ensure compliance with applicable alcohol laws in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and to protect both the client and instructor.
The services provided are instructional in nature only. The instructor does not sell, distribute, serve, or provide alcoholic beverages.

General Alcohol Compliance Policies

The following rules apply to all classes that may involve alcoholic beverages.

Alcohol Supply

All alcoholic beverages must be purchased and supplied by the client or participants. The instructor does not purchase, transport, or supply alcohol for any class.

Alcohol Handling

The instructor will not:

  • Pour alcohol
  • Mix alcoholic beverages
  • Serve alcoholic beverages
  • Distribute alcohol to participants
  • Participants are responsible for handling and adding alcohol themselves if they choose to include it

Instruction may include:

  • Beverage composition
  • Flavor balancing
  • Cocktail structure
  • Technique explanations

However, participants perform all alcohol handling themselves

Optional Alcohol Participation

Participation in any alcoholic beverage component of a class is entirely optional. Classes are designed to function fully as non-alcoholic or mocktail instruction. Participants may choose to add alcohol independently if they wish.

Age Requirements

Any participant consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age or older.
If any participant is under the age of 21:
They may not participate in the alcohol portion of the class.
They may participate in non-alcoholic beverage instruction only.

Refusal of Alcohol Instruction

The instructor will not conduct any portion of the class involving alcohol if:

  • Alcohol is provided to a person under the age of 21
  • The host insists that underage participants be allowed to consume alcohol
  • Local laws or circumstances create a compliance concern

In such cases, the instructor may:

  • Continue the class without the alcohol component, or
  • Terminate the alcohol instruction portion of the class

If a client insists on violating these policies, the instructor reserves the right to discontinue services.

Responsibility for Alcohol Consumption

Participants are responsible for:

  • Their own alcohol consumption
  • Compliance with applicable state and local laws
  • Ensuring safe transportation if alcohol is consumed
  • The instructor does not monitor alcohol intake and does not provide alcohol service

State-Specific Notes

Massachusetts

Massachusetts alcohol laws are regulated by the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC) and local licensing authorities. This service is structured as private instruction in a private residence. The instructor does not sell, distribute, or serve alcohol. All alcohol present at the event must be purchased, possessed, and handled by the client or participants.

New Hampshire

Alcohol laws in New Hampshire are regulated by the New Hampshire Liquor Commission. This service is structured as private instructional services in a private residence, where alcohol is supplied and handled exclusively by the client or participants. The instructor does not transport, sell, distribute, or serve alcohol.

Client Acknowledgment

By booking a class that may include an optional alcoholic beverage component, the client acknowledges and agrees that:

  • The instructor does not provide alcohol
  • All alcohol is supplied and handled by the client or participants
  • Alcohol consumption is limited to individuals 21 years of age or older
  • The instructor may refuse or discontinue alcohol-related instruction if compliance concerns arise
  • These policies are designed to ensure compliance with applicable alcohol laws and to maintain a safe learning environment
